The official tracking system displays current package status, transit history, and expected delivery information. This method connects you directly to Albanian Post's database for authentic tracking data.
Your tracking number serves as a unique identifier assigned when your package enters the postal system. Albanian Post follows the international format established by the Universal Postal Union.
Standard tracking number format:
The tracking number consists of 13 characters arranged in a specific pattern:
First letter (R/C/E) - Indicates the shipment type
Second letter (T) - Additional service identifier
Nine digits (123456785) - Unique numerical sequence
Country code (AL) - Represents Albania
Common tracking number examples:
RT123456785AL - Small registered package from Albania (up to 2kg)
CA123456785AL - Standard parcel shipment from Albania (over 2kg)
EE123456789AL - Express EMS shipment from Albania
The letter "R" (Registered) designates registered small packages, "C" indicates standard parcels, and "E" represents express deliveries. All tracking numbers end with "AL" for Albania.
Where to find your tracking number:
Post office receipt - When you ship at a post office, your tracking number appears on the receipt
Email confirmation - Check shipping notifications from the sender
Order details page - Log in to the retailer's website to view tracking information
Shipping label - The barcode section contains your tracking code
Note that small parcels under 2kg may not always be trackable, but EMS shipments and express deliveries are always registered with tracking numbers.
Within Albania:
Standard domestic mail and packages typically arrive in 2-3 business days, a significant improvement from the 5-8 days it took before reforms. Express services offer even faster delivery to major cities.
International Deliveries:
Europe: 5-7 business days (varies based on destination country and customs)
North America (USA/Canada): 7-10 business days
Asia, Africa, Australia: 10-15 business days
These are estimated times. Actual delivery depends on customs clearance, weather conditions, holidays, and the efficiency of postal services in the destination country.
When tracking your Posta Shqiptare parcel, you'll encounter these status updates:
In Transit - Your package is moving through the postal network on its way to the destination.
Out for Delivery - A postal carrier has your parcel and will deliver it today.
Delivered - Your package reached its final destination successfully. The system records the delivery time and location.
Awaiting Collection - Your item is waiting at a post office for you to pick it up.
Processing - Albanian Post received your package and is preparing it for transit.
Held at Customs - For international shipments, customs officials are reviewing your package. This requires clearance before delivery can continue.
Exception - An issue occurred that requires resolution. This could be an incorrect address, missing information, or another problem.
Returned to Sender - The package couldn't be delivered and is heading back to the origin.
Albanian Post operates 550 post offices across the country, serving both urban centers and rural communities. This extensive network ensures access to postal services for the entire population.
Standard Working Hours:

Tracking number not recognized?
Try these steps:
Verify the number - Check each character carefully, ensuring no extra spaces or wrong letters
Wait 24 hours - New shipments need time to register in the system
Confirm shipment type - Make sure your package qualifies for tracking (small parcels under 2kg may not have tracking)
Contact sender - Verify you have the correct tracking code
No status updates for several days?
This happens when:
Your package travels between major sorting centers with limited scanning points
It's going through customs inspection (especially for international items)
Weekend or holiday processing causes delays
The parcel is on a truck or plane with no immediate scanning capability
If tracking stops for more than 7 days, contact Albanian Post customer service.
Package delayed?
First, verify the latest status using your tracking number. If information isn't updated or shows a significant delay, reach out to customer service. They can provide detailed information about your shipment status and possible reasons for delay.
